Workshop: Using Leganto to Manage your Course Readings

November 13, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am MST

WORKSHOP: ADD COURSE RESERVES READING LIST INTO CANVAS

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 13TH

10:00–11:00AM

Join library experts Chris Thiry and Lisa Nickum for a 1 hour workshop to help you manage your course readings. Using a Canvas widget, you can easily create, manage, and share your Course Reserves Readings Lists with your students, and communicate directly with the Library. Creating Course Readings lists is easy.  You can:

  • Search the Library’s catalog directly from Canvas via Leganto
  • Drag-and-drop citations to Course Readings lists
  • Request items to be acquired by the Library for classes
  • Upload PDF files, YouTube videos, simulations, etc.
  • The Cite It! tool captures web content directly from websites such as Google Scholar, SpringerLink, Science Direct, Amazon, Knovel, and many more
  • Easily update readings throughout the semester
  • Monitor student engagement with course readings
  • Reuse items from semester to semester, or duplicate whole lists for other courses

. *Co-sponored by the Arthur Lakes Library and the Trefny Center.
