REMOTE TEACHING TOOLS: CANVAS ASSESSMENTS TRAINING

To assist faculty and teaching assistants with the return to fully remote learning, the Trefny Center and ITS are offering remote teaching sessions to help the Mines community finish the fall semester off strong. Join us for our next session on Thursday, November 19th 11:00am – 12:00pm MST as we cover how to successfully administer remote assessments in Canvas. We’ll discuss quiz setup and functionality, the Canvas quiz question types, how to grade quizzes in Canvas, and limitations of Canvas quizzes. We will also briefly address using Gradescope and choosing between New Quizzes and Classic Quizzes. For more individualized quiz setup needs, participants may be interested in the Remote Teaching Tools Open Office Hours sessions being offered twice per week starting 11/30. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
