Mines-UNC Noyce Scholarship

  • The TEAM-UP Noyce Scholarship Program is intended support Mines students and alums planning to pursue a teaching career in science or mathematics. Ideal candidates should demonstrate academic success in STEM combined with a strong desire to pursue a teaching career in science or mathematics. The value of the scholarship is $10,000 per semester, and students are eligible for the scholarship during their junior year, senior year, and while finishing their teaching license as a UNC postbac. The scholarship is very competitive and selective. Scholarship recipients are required to complete two years of teaching in a high-needs school district for every year of scholarship received. It is important that the students who receive the scholarship are committed to fulfill this requirement, otherwise the scholarship reverts to a loan.
