Mines Generative AI
Field Guide
A resource for and by the Colorado School of Mines community.
This first-of-its-kind resource was designed to support thoughtful, intentional generative AI (genAI) integration in teaching and learning. It includes campus perspectives, instructional tools and guidelines, frameworks and tips, copy-and-paste prompts, activity ideas, and adaptable strategies for using AI in ways that support learning and student engagement. Built collaboratively through hands-on experimentation and discussion, it features faculty and student contributions that were created during the “Trefny Teaching and Learning Lab: Human-Centered AI” at Colorado School of Mines in the summer of 2025.
