Are you interested in exploring ways that instructors can encourage students to monitor and evaluate their own learning?  

Join us to discuss the article “Promoting Student Metacognition” (Tanner, 2012). Questions to consider as you read:

  • How can instructors promote the use metacognitive strategies to help students monitor their learning? 
  • How can we take the strategies identified in the article and implement them in a variety of classrooms and in a variety of disciplines? 
  • How can we use metacognitive strategies to monitor and evaluate our own teaching?
