Teaching is often an isolated practice. However, studies show that collaboration significantly enhances teaching and learning (Perez, 2015; Vislocky, 2013; Austin & Baldwin, 1991). Find ways to connect and collaborate with your colleagues. Ask a few colleagues to join you in reviewing the course outcomes to consider alignment with their courses or to discuss approaches that work/don’t work in your courses. The Trefny Center can help in organizing Professional Learning Communities, Teaching Triangles, and other formal supports to collaborate.
